LSUHSC-S is committed to providing support for medical and scientific research. To responsibly conduct research, adherence to regulations that govern the research arena is required. In addition to the regulations, LSUHSC-S considers the ethical conduct of research a core institutional value.
The Research Compliance Office provides support and education in applicable regulations and the ethical conduct of research. The goal of research compliance is to protect human subjects and animals, provide guidance for biological research, assure integrity in research, comply with applicable laws, ensure proper billing and use of funds and to proactively manage risk.
